Day Eight of the Ten Days of Giveaways

There are so many different calendar songs that can be used.  Last year, I used the Addams family song for the days of the week.

Days of the week (snap, snap),
Days of the week (snap, snap),
Days of the week, Days of the week, Days of the week (snap, snap),

There's Sunday and there's Monday,
There's Tuesday and there's Wednesday,
There's Thursday and there's Friday,
And then there's Saturday.

Days of the week (snap, snap),
Days of the week (snap, snap),
Days of the week, Days of the week, Days of the week (snap, snap),

This year, I am using the "O My Darlin'" song.

There are 7 days,
There are 7 days,
There are 7 days in the week.

There are 7 days,
There are 7 days,
There are 7 days in the week.

Sunday, Monday,
Tuesday, Wednesday,
Thursday, Friday,
Saturday

Sunday, Monday,
Tuesday, Wednesday,
Thursday, Friday,
Saturday

I know there are other versions (and probably better versions) of this one, but this is the version I know.  :)

I use the "Ten Little Indians" tune for the months of the year song.

With that being said, day eight's freebie is the days of the week and months of the year posters.

  1. Those are the two Days of the Week songs we sing, too. I give the child whose name is pulled to point to the words the choice of song. Since they can all remember these, they work well. (Sometimes we will use a commercial song with the days of the week during our Morning Songs before calendar.)
